Teaching style

Teaching will be divided evenly between lectures and practical sessions.

Lectures will include:

  • underlying theory (fundamentals)
  • basics of the measurement technique (method and limitations)
  • practical details
  • applications

Practical classes will be of three types:

  • computer lab sessions (two students per computer),
  • demonstrations (software and microscopy sessions via video projector),
  • group discussions about a given technique or problem.

Several microscopes will be installed on-site for the whole of the two weeks for hands on experience.
